TomTom Go 710 Battery Installation Instructions

The following instruction guide may be used to replace the TomTom Go 710 Battery.

1. Begin by turning your TomTom face down and lifting the four rubber ends to access the 4 screws on the back of your TomTom Go 710. Remove the four screws.

2. Next using the pry tool carefully lift off the grey plastic cover/frame from the front of your TomTom.

3. Next remove the grey plastic housing from the base of your TomTom.

4. Now remove all 6 screws from securing the circuit board. 2 of the screws will under the GPS receiver chip therefore after you remove the first 4 you will need to gently unseat the GPS receiver chip to access the final 2 screws.

5. Now using your pry tool carefully lift up the circuit board. You will not be able to completely lift the circuit board off as there will be 2 connectors holding the board to the base of the unit. You will need to detach these 2 connectors first – one of the connectors is your battery.

6. After the connectors have been detached turn the TomTom over and press in the screen clips (these clips hold screen in place – pressing them in will release the screen) so you can lift the screen using the pry tool.

7. Once the screen is separated you will see that a gold ribbon is connecting the screen to the board so be careful not to tear that ribbon.

8. Next remove the 2 black plastic clips on either side of your TomTom – these clips are held in by 1 screw and hold the TomTom's harddrive in place.

9. Now lift the hard drive out of it compartment and set aside.

10. Next remove the original battery (note how connector wire is) and replace the battery with a new TomTom Go 710 Battery Replacement from www.BatteryShip.com.

Now we need to reverse our steps…

11. After your new battery is in place reattach the 2 connectors back to your circuit board. The battery connector is connected to the left socket.

12. Return the harddrive to its compartment.

13. Replace the 2 black plastic clips on either side of your TomTom.

14. Put the grey metal/plastic screen frame on to the screen and snap the frame and screen back into place.

15. Replace the circuit board and screws.

16.Seat the GPS receiver chip and replace the screws.

17. Place your GPS unit into the black plastic housing.

18. Snap the grey plastic cover onto your TomTom

19. Replace the 4 screws onto the back of your TomTom and cover ther screws with the rubber flaps you pulled off in step 1.

20. Charge your TomTom Go 710 for 4 hours.

TomTom Go 700 Battery Installation Instructions

The following instruction guide may be used to replace the TomTom Go 700 Battery.

1. Begin by turning your TomTom face down and lifting the four rubber ends to access the 4 screws on the back of your TomTom Go 700. Remove the four screws.

2. Next using the pry tool carefully lift off the grey plastic cover/frame from the front of your TomTom.

3. Next remove the grey plastic housing from the base of your TomTom.

7. Once the screen is separated you will see that a gold ribbon is connecting the screen to the board so be careful not to tear that ribbon.

8. Next remove the 2 black plastic clips on either side of your TomTom – these clips are held in by 1 screw and hold the TomTom's harddrive in place.

9. Now lift the hard drive out of it compartment and set aside.

Now we need to reverse our steps…

The following instruction guide may be used to replace the TomTom Go 600 Battery.

1. Begin by turning your TomTom face down and lifting the four rubber ends to access the 4 screws on the back of your TomTom Go 600. Remove the four screws.

2. Next using the pry tool carefully lift off the grey plastic cover/frame from the front of your TomTom.

2. Next using the pry tool carefully lift off the grey plastic cover/frame from the front of your TomTom.

3. Next remove the grey plastic housing from the base of your TomTom.

Magellan RoadMate 1470 Battery Installation Instructions

The following instruction guide may be used to replace the Magellan RoadMate 1470 Battery.

1. Begin by turning your Roadmate face down. On the back of the Roadmate there will be two rubber caps that must be removed to reveal 2 screws. To remove use a sharp object (the best is a pin) to lift up the two caps.

2. Next remove the 6 screws on the back of the Magellan.

3. Next using the pry tool provided in your tool kit gently open the GPS by carefully separating the 2 halves (slide the pry tool all around the edge until the halves come apart). CAUTION as you open the the 2 sides (on the inside) they will be connected by cables. So please be careful not to rip apart the 2 halves.

4. There will be a black piece of strip holding the battery wires to the circuit board. Remove the tape.

5. Disconnect the original battery and pry it up. Magellan uses an adhesive to hold the battery in place. Use the pry bar provided to help pry up the battery.

6. Place a brand new Magellan RoadMate 1470 Battery from BatteryShip into the device and connect the new battery to the circuit board. The battery should be oriented the same as the original.

Now let's reverse our steps.

7. Secure the battery wires to the circuit board with the black piece of taped removed in step 4.

8. Now put the 2 halves of the GPS together and gently snap in place.

9. Replace all six screws removed in step 2 and place the two rubber caps removed in step 1.

10. Charge your Magellan RoadMate 1470 Battery for four hours. Then turn on your Magellan.

Garmin Nuvi 465 Battery Installation Instructions

The following instruction guide may be used to replace the Garmin Nuvi 465 Battery.

1. Begin by turning your Nuvi face down. On the bottom of the Nuvi there will be 2 screws hidden under the label. Peel back the label to reveal these two screws.

2. Remove the two screws.

3. After opening the two halves you will see 4 screws that hold the circuit board in place. Remove these four screws to access the battery. A small plastic piece may come out during the replacement. This piece is the power switch. Do not worry it is normal. We will put it back in during step 8.

4. Lift up the circuit board to access the original battery.

5. Disconnect the original battery and pry it up. Garmin uses an adhesive to hold the Nuvi battery in place. Use the pry bar provided to help pry up the battery.

6. Place a brand new Garmin Nuvi 465 Battery from BatteryShip into the device and connect the new battery to the circuit board. The battery should be oriented the same as the original.

Now let's reverse our steps.

7. Return the circuit board to its original position and replace the four screws to secure the circuit board.

8. A small plastic piece may have come out during the replacement. This piece is the power switch. Place the switch back into place. Now put the 2 halves of the GPS together and gently snap in place.

9. Carefully lift the label at the base of your Nuvi and replace the two screws removed in step 2.

10. Charge your Garmin Nuvi 465 Battery for four hours. Then turn on your Garmin.

Garmin Nuvi 465T Battery Installation Instructions

The following instruction guide may be used to replace the Garmin Nuvi 465T Battery.

1. Begin by turning your Nuvi face down. On the bottom of the Nuvi there will be 2 screws hidden under the label. Peel back the label to reveal these two screws.
