1. To begin turn your Magellan Maestro 4210 over and remove the 4 rubber caps to reveal the 4 four screws.

1. Begin by turning your nuvi 700 face down.

2. On the back near the bottom there will be 2 small screws. Remove those screws with the T4 screw driver provided.

3. Next using the pry tool provided separate the housing case being sure to separate all around the Garmin.

4. Lift up the front portion of the nuvi being careful not to fully separate the two parts as the battery connector and the speaker connector will be attached and connected. Lift just enough to see the battery and the connectors.

(At this point you have 2 options at this point – either disconnect both the speaker wire connector and the battery connector to full separate both halves or simply disconnect the battery cable. You can do whatever is easier for you.)

5. Now disconnect the old battery and remove. There may be some adhesive glue holding down the old battery so you may need to gently pry the old battery up.

6. Insert the new Garmin Nuvi 700 battery. There is only one way to put the new battery in – the red wire will face the top. Now reconnect the battery (and if you disconnected the speaker then reconnect the speaker cable).

7. Now close the housing being careful to not pinch the wires. Click the housing together.

8. Now screw the 2 screws back on place using the T4.

1. Begin by lifting the ends of the label up off your TomTom (this will be on the bottom). You can use the prytool that comes in the kit to do this. The 2 screws are under the ends of the label (one screw under each end).

3. Once the two screws are removed taky your pry tool and insert between the two halves of the Tom Tom and run it around the edge of the TomTom to help separate the two sides. Once you work all the way around the TomTom you will be able to separate the two halves. Please be careful to not pull the two sides to far apart as they are connected by a ribbon cable on the inside. This ribbon cable does not need to be removed to see the battery.

4. In order to gain access to the battery you must remove the three screws securing the circuit board.

5 Once the screws are removed you will be able to carefully lift the circuit board and disconnect the battery cable to the board.

6. Once the battery cable is disconnected you can pry out the original battery.

1. Begin by laying the TomTom One on its face and remove the four Torx size screws from rear using a proper Torx bit.

2. Next – carefully insert the pry tool between one side of the black back cover and the silver front to a depth of NO MORE than 3 to 4mm. Start to pry the back cover away. Continue working down the side. Repeat for the other side. If necessary also pry at the center of the top. The rear black cover will be released. Take care not to pull it away, as there are two sets of wires with miniature connectors, connecting the battery and loudspeaker on the back cover to the main unit.

3. Once the two halves are apart and laying next to each other, gently disconnect the battery.

4. The battery is secured in the battery recess with a very sticky pad underneath. using the pry tool lift the battery out (remember the battery is held on by an adhesive so you will need to work here a little). Gradually pull the battery away working from side to side. Don’t rush this or damage to the back cover could occur. Retain the sticky pad for reuse, replacing it in the recess.

5. Position the new TomTom One battery into the recess making sure the wire leads exits the recess at the bottom (loudspeaker side) corner.

6. Carefully reconnect the the new battery plugs to the main unit.

7. Replace the two halves of the TomTom and gently snap shut.

8. Replace the 4 screws.
